Statement of Intent

To help ensure the success of Board Repair’s mission and create meaningful nonprofit board experiences for BIPOC, we request all organizations agree to the statements below before submitting their board listing.

Acknowledgement of Inequity

Inequality and inequity exist everywhere, even in social justice spaces. As such, we agree to lessen the negative effects of as many of these oppressive ideologies as possible. We commit to the never-ending work of learning and unlearning at an individual and organizational level.

Organization Accountability

We will provide a safe space where people feel their contributions have worth and are comfortable to contribute ideas, share their needs, assert their boundaries, and develop their own agency.

Investment in Board Member Success

If our organization finds a new board member through Board Repair, we will designate a board mentor/board buddy to advise and help guide them through their board service.

If you have any questions about the statements above, please contact us: info@tcboardrepair.org before submitting your board opening.
