Move Minneapolis promotes transportation options to enhance economic vitality, environmental sustainability, equity, and quality of life for everyone in the Minneapolis region. We focus on switching single-occupant vehicle commuters to downtown Minneapolis to shared and sustainable modes.
Environment and Animals
Experience with non-auto commuting, advocacy, community organizing, urban planning. Interest in transit, biking, walking, and shared mobility. Belief in the need to prioritize climate change and air quality in transportation decisions. Clear desire to focus on improvements in the downtown Minneapolis business and infrastructure ecosystem and surrounding neighborhoods/communities. Willingness to work with staff and board colleagues toward an inclusive, effective, friendly and energizing organization.
There is no monetary expectation of advisory board members. Our board currently meets 6 times/year from 7:30 - 9 a.m. in downtown Minneapolis. Terms will commence on January 1, 2020. Meeting dates for 2020 are: 1/23, 3/26, 5/28, 7/23, 9/24, 12/3
The Move Minneapolis Advisory Board promotes mode switch through thought leadership and building connections. It focuses on creating networks of influence for our programs through workplace, political, and community relationships.
