Mission of the Organization Neighborhood Roots runs the Fulton, Kingfield, & Nokomis Farmers Markets in South Minneapolis. Our mission is to bring neighbors together to buy, eat and learn about local food. We support local farmers and small businesses, promote vibrant community and effect important changes in food and agriculture policy.

Skills or experience we are seeking in a new board member

Fundraising, community engagement, nonprofit management, economic development. Other skills welcome as well.

Requirements of the new board member

Monthly board & committee meetings. No direct financial requirements at this time, although everyone supports fundraising efforts in some way.

Board's Primary Functions

Governance & hands-on. Committees include marketing / development, and market operations.
