Provision Community Restaurant

Our mission is to foster creative, community-based solutions to overcome food insecurity, isolation and hardships in the lives of our neighbors through our give-as-you-can community cafe serving healthy, family-style meals

Health and Human Services

The major requirement is that you believe in our mission and have energy to support it. Ideal candidates will also have at least one of the following:

Experience as a nonprofit employee or have served on a nonprofit board
Restaurant experience
Experience in developing long-term strategies
Legal experience
Willingness to jump in and get your hands dirty

We ask that you commit to the following:

Attend majority (7+ annually) of full Board Meetings and Special Meetings as necessary (Current Board Meeting Schedule is the third Monday of each month, 6:30 pm-8:30 pm)
Join a board committee or act as an officer of the board (schedules vary)
Devote 4-10 hrs/month to Provision activities
Attend majority of Provision events; promote all events via word of mouth and social media
Spread the word!
Term length is 2 years

We have two full-time staff, but still rely on the board to get some of the work done, so you might consider us a working board. We have volunteer committees, led by board members, who do much of the work of the organization.
