Public, Societal Benefit

For this particuar board position (Board Treasurer):
a, Oversee the implementation and regular review of strong internal controls and financial policies
b. Ensure proper maintenance of financial records as well as timely and accurate financial reporting
to the Board, the IRS, and to other government entities such as state attorneys general
c. Oversee the annual financial audit of the corporation
d. Monthly meeting with CEO to review organization’s financial standing
e. Guide and oversee the corporation's annual budgeting process for each fiscal year
f. Collaborate with CEO in maintaining bank accounts and engaging with other financial products on
behalf of the corporation

Passion for Venn’s mission of unleashing the full power of PRIs to advance charitable impact
 Ability to think creatively and expansively about how concessionary capital can advance charitable impact
 Prior CFO and/or Board Treasurer experience
 Prior board governance experience in the nonprofit and/or for-profit sector
 Professional experience with investment operations, especially those in nonprofit contexts
 Experience leading in an entrepreneurial environment
 Ideal: Local physical presence in the Twin Cities with strong regional or national reputation

a. Help review, set, and advance the strategic goals of the organization;
b. Act as an ambassador for the organization to attract resources and build partnerships;
c. Contribute to CEO performance evaluation;
d. Participate in standing quarterly Board meetings in February, May, August, and November as well as special board meetings as called;
e. Potentially participate in monthly Board Executive Committee meetings in January, March, April, June, July, September, October, and December;
f. Consider and respond to various written actions of the Board and possibly Board Executive Committee as needed throughout the year
